About This Workshop

Experience The Switch Lab™ the same way your students will by learning, building, testing, and then driving the finished Switch EV as a complete project-based learning process. This training is appropriate for teachers from all disciplines – Auto Shop, Engineering, Physics, Robotics, Maker, and more.

How long?

The workshop is 5 days long, with each day ending at 4:30 pm.
Coffee, snacks, and lunch are provided daily.

What to Bring

Dress Code – Closed toe shoes, long pants, no torn or baggy clothes. (Shop Clothes)

Equipment – Please bring a Windows laptop that can download .exe files, you will have the opportunity to download and edit BMS/Motor controller software.

Approved for California CE credits

  • You will earn 40 credit hours
  • Comprehensive electric vehicle science and technology instruction
  • Learn about EV components.
  • Lecture in the morning; build a Switch Lab EV in the afternoon.

Cancellations

  • To receive a full refund, please cancel your registration at least 35 days prior to the event start date.
  • If Switch Vehicles cancels a workshop, all registrants will receive a full refund. We will typically cancel a workshop within 30 days of the start date and email everyone.
  • Due to the possibility of workshops being cancelled, please make sure your travel arrangements are refundable or creditable.

Our Venue

The Switch Vehicles facility is located in a business park in the heart of Sebastopol within walking distance of the Barlow. The entrance is in the middle of the building between two other companies. Parking is free and available in the front and to the side of the building.

The Surrounding Area

The town of Sebastopol is situated in Central Sonoma County – wine country. The liberal and laid-back community was originally an orchard town, home of the Gravenstein apple, but is now home to wineries, tasting rooms, and farm-to-table restaurants.
